ADflex : Advanced Demonstrators for Flexibility and Local Energy eXchange in Sustainable Energy Communities

The ADFlex Project is a Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland-funded research initiative focused on exploring opportunities to improve the flexibility of energy demand management and support the integration of renewable energy sources within local distribution networks.

The project will accelerate the deployment of demand flexibility solutions, enhance interoperability, and identify ways to reduce the costs associated with local flexibility services, ultimately delivering a scalable testing framework for demand response initiatives within sustainable energy communities.

ADflex is a collaborative initiative that brings together expertise in energy management, digital technology, innovation, and stakeholder engagement to develop an integrated solution for advancing demand flexibility and renewable energy integration within local energy networks. By combining technical knowledge with practical implementation strategies, the project supports more sustainable, resilient, and efficient energy systems for both communities and network operators.

Arden Energy's role involves supporting community engagement and coordinating the on-site pilot testing activities. This work helps ensure that demand response technologies and renewable energy solutions are tested and validated in real-world environments, providing valuable insights into performance, scalability, and user participation.
